Tiger men's soccer picks up fifth straight win

The Fort Hays State University men's soccer team turned in a 3-0 victory against Newman University on Sunday at FHSU Soccer Stadium.

The win moves the Tigers to 5-1, and was their fifth straight victory since falling in their season-opener. Newman dropped to 0-4-1. Diego Cabral, Ricardo Yeverino and Austin Clifton scored goals for FHSU, while Jason Babyak earned his fifth win in goal and his fourth shutout.

Cabral's goal came in the first half, while the other two were scored after intermission.

The Tigers are on the road this week, playing at 7 p.m. Thursday in MIAA play at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Okla.
