By The Hays Daily News

BOLIVAR, Mo. --  The Fort Hays State Unviersity softball team set a new school record Saturday.

WIth a 7-0, 14-0 sweep of Southwest Baptist (Mo.) University, the TIgers now own the school record for wins.

The Tigers (37-7 overall and 34-4 in MIAA play) broke the old record of 35 wins set in a 35-20 season in 2003, the TIgers' last national tournament appearance.

Fort Hays is ranked No. 1 in the Central Region, and No. 18 in NCAA DIvision II.

The Tigers are in Warrensburg, Mo. on Sunday to take on University of Central Missouri, then close the regular season at home Friday against Linoln (Mo.) University at Tiger Stadium.
