FHSU track competes at Emporia

EMPORIA - The Fort Hays State University track and field team hit some NCAA Division II provisional marks at the ESU Relays this weekend. Senior Max Alonso threw 170 feet, 3 inches in the discus for fifth place and junior Jake Durham went 197-4 in the javelin for sixth place.

Senior Alex Hendee won the 5,000 run in 14:47.05, just off a provisional mark. Sophomore Cory Keehn was four seconds behind for third. On the women's side, senior Holly Brown finished fifth in the javelin with a provisional qualifying mark of 132-8.
