New feature: Area Game of the Week

This season, the HDN started a weekly feature, called the "Area Game of the Week." Action started in Week 1 as the HDN sports staff traveled to Victoria to watch the 2008 Eight-Man, Division II runner-up Victoria Knights defeat Central Prairie League foe Macksville. The "Area Game of the Week" features a story and photo in every Thursday issue previewing the game, plus a story in Sunday's HDN. The staff also produces a video highlight reel of the game, available online every Sunday throughout the season. The new feature is in addition to the Friday Night Tours, a weekly special feature started in 2008, highlighting the significance of the school district in small communities.
