Kora Marie (Lindenmeyer) Hollinger

Kora Marie (Lindenmeyer) Hollinger, 107, Houston, formerly of Russell, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, after a recent illness.

She was born Feb. 22, 1905, in Dorrance to Henry and Minnie Lindenmeyer. She was a 1921 graduate of Russell High School and attended Washburn University in Topeka to study music. She attended business school in Salina.

She married Lloyd Hollinger on March 28, 1927. He preceded her in death in 1979. She helped her husband run their pharmacy, Hollinger Drug, for 40 years.

Survivors include a son, Dr. F. Blaine Hollinger, Houston; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Dr. L.A. Hollinger.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Otterbein United Methodist Church; burial in Russell City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, with family present from 7 to 9 p.m. at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, Russell.

Memorials are suggested to Otterbein United Methodist Church in care of the mortuary.
