Louis Earl Bushell

Louis Earl Bushell, 81, Russell, died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at Golden Living Center, Wilson.

He was born Nov. 23, 1931, near Wilson to Ray and Irene (Sanders) Bushell. He grew up and attended schools in Dorrance and Wilson.

He married Bertha Scott. He later married Ella Mae Michaelis on May 10, 1986, in Russell. She preceded him in death.

He was a diesel mechanic in the oil fields, working for Ivan Holt for many years.

Survivors include a son, Don Bushell, Dorrance; a daughter, Donna Mays, El Dorado Springs, Mo.; a sister, Bonnie Frederking, Lucas; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, Russell; burial in Wilson City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary, with the family greeting friends from 6 to 7 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to Harden Hospice, Salina.
