Martin G. Mohr

Martin G. Mohr, 84, WaKeeney, died Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010, at Trego County-Lemke Memorial Hospital, WaKeeney.

He was born April 27, 1926, in rural Trego County to Jacob and Bertha Anna Struss Mohr.

He married Eleanora (Meiar) Mohr on Aug. 18, 1951, in WaKeeney. She preceded him in death May 16, 2005. He was a farmer, retiring in summer 2010. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include a son, Wayne Mohr, Wichita; two daughters, Kathleen Scaccia, Hastings, Neb., and Julie Bretton, Hutchinson; a brother, Ernie Mohr, WaKeeney; two sisters, Carolyn Schoenthaler, WaKeeney and Wilma Dietz, Ogallah; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Robert and Gary Mohr.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, WaKeeney; burial in St. Michael Cemetery, Collyer, with military rites by Fort Riley Color Guard.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Schmitt Funeral Home, WaKeeney.
