Thomas F. McClelland

Thomas F. McClelland, 93, Hoxie, died Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Hays Medical Center.

He was born July 31, 1916, to Thomas E. and Martha (Feiler) McClelland in Quinter.

He married Maxine Shafer Sept. 14, 1941, at Mount Pleasant Parsonage near Studley. He was a farmer.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons, Thomas Max McClelland, Hays, and James A. McClelland, Munjor; a daughter, Patricia Berg, Colyer; a brother, Homer McClelland, Vista, Calif.; a sister, Betty Brewster, Hoxie; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church, Hoxie; burial following in Hoxie Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Mickey-Leopold Funeral Home, Hoxie.

Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Hays, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, or the Sheridan County Library, in care of the funeral home.
