Mieng Thi Bui

Mieng Thi Bui, 68, Phillipsburg, died Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010, at Phillips County Hospital, Phillipsburg.

She was born Feb. 6, 1942, in Ninh Hoa, Vietnam, to Cay Tran and Nhi Thi (Vo) Tran.

She and her husband, Chuong, owned Oriental-American Restaurant, Phillipsburg.

Survivors include her husband, of the home; five sons, Joseph, Nga and Hung Bui, all of Phillipsburg, Dung Bui, Overland Park, and Phong Bui, Blue Springs, Mo.; three daughters, Amy Nguyen, Phillipsburg, and Stephanie Habiger and Tau Juarez, both of Olathe; 16 grandchildren; four sisters; a brother, Vietnam.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg; burial in Fairview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, with family present from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to First Lutheran Church, the SS Philip and James Catholic Church or American Diabetes Association in care of the funeral home.
