Mussels topic of May 10 Science Cafe

Curtis Wolf, manager of the Fort Hays State University Kansas Wetlands Education Center near Great Bend, will present "Of Mussels and Men" for the Science Cafe at 7 p.m. May 10 at Gella's Diner, 117 E. 11th.

Wolf said he hopes the talk will help educate people on one of the most endangered groups of animals and raise awareness of the interesting animals native to Kansas. He will cover such topics as reproductive behaviors, adaptations and the use of fishing lures.

Former education director at the KWEC, Eric Geising, originally was scheduled to be the speaker at this Science Cafe.
