Woman confesses to using stolen debit card

A stolen debit card was used at least 17 times over a three-week period in Hays, police report.

The Hays Police department received reports throughout June and July from local businesses of credit card violations.

According to police, the card was stolen from another Ellis County town.

Hays Police Lt. Ron Rounkles said the perpetrator, a 29-year-old female, is related to the card owner and has confessed to the crimes.

Charges have not yet been filed.
