Melisha Wenta and Lanny Jones, both of Hays, announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

Parents of the couple are George and Rose Ann Hageman, Cunningham, Randy Jones, Tucson, Ariz., and Deb Lewis, Hays.

The bride-elect graduated from Cunningham High School and Fort Hays State University. She is a personal trainer at Center for Health Improvement, Hays.

The prospective bridegroom graduated from Minneola High School and Dodge City Community College. He is a foreman for Signature Builders, Hays.

A Sept. 11, 2010, wedding is planned in Hays.
