Baccalaureate services for eight  graduating Natoma High School students Sunday began  with an opening prayer by  Pastor Michael McCrickard, followed by  several congregational songs of  praise by Pastor Ben MacConnell.  They represented the Plainville-Natoma Ministerial Alliance, which organized the event.  

Bonnie Schamberger and Ji Young Park played piano duets of "He Leadeth Me" and "Soon and Very Soon." Pastor Allie Williams read from the book of Psalms.    

 The keynote  speaker was Pastor Eric Rook, Plainville United Methodist Church.  Addressing the students from the book of Galatians, he charged the graduates  with three points  for life:  "do no harm, do good, and stay in love with God."

Several other  scriptures were read by Pastor Bohrer and Pastor Daryl Sherraden.  Each graduate received a book, "More Than A Carpenter,"  from the Alliance, with  Rod Sutter presenting a Gideon International Bible.    

Katherine Elliot was given  special recognition for her leadership as  sponsor for  the Natoma High School Fellowship of Christian Athletes organization.  She is a  USD 399 teacher of the gifted and talented.   The ministerial alliance  presented her with a study Bible.
