Accident in Gove County sends teens to hospital

A car accident two miles east of Park resulted in two passengers being taken to Gove County Medical Center in Quinter.

Cody Robert Williams, 18, Park, was driving his 2007 Vue Saturn westbound on Old U.S. Highway 40 in Gove County. He swerved to miss a deer and lost control, rolling approximately three times at 7:55 p.m. Thursday, according to a report from the Kansas Highway Patrol.

Williams and his passenger, David Lee Fleener, 17, Park, were taken to the hospital. Both were wearing safety restraints, according to the report.
