DODGE CITY, Kan. (AP) -- A man has been sentenced to nearly five years in prison for his role in a conspiracy to kill a drug dealer.
The 59-month sentence was imposed Friday against Martin Lugo.
Assistant Ford County Attorney Scott James said the prosecuting and defense attorneys had recommended the sentence as part of a plea agreement, and District Judge Van Hampton followed their recommendation.
James said Lugo pleaded no-contest several weeks ago to a charge of conspiracy to commit first-degree murder.
