Former Tiger coach now at Central Mich.

By The Hays Daily News

The Fort Hays State University football team will be looking for its third defensive coordinator in three years after Kyle Nystrom left Fort Hays to become NCAA Division I Central Michigan's assistant head coach, special teams coordinator and linebackers coach for 2010. Central Michigan announced Nystrom's hiring in a Jan. 26 news release.

Nystrom served one year as FHSU's defensive coordinator as Fort Hays finished with a 6-5 record, but set a school record for points allowed (402), an average of 36.5 points per game. Nystrom had come from North Dakota State University, where he served as assistant head coach.
