PARK -- Blowing snow across Interstate 70 on Saturday caused a one-vehicle accident that sent three Colorado residents to a local hospital.

Marissa D. Ballard, 19, Longmont, Colo., was westbound on I-70 at 12:25 p.m. Saturday approximately 2 miles south of Park when her Honda car drove over blowing snow and slid into the north ditch. The vehicle rolled one-and-a-half times, according to a report from the Kansas Highway Patrol.

Ballard and two passengers, Megan N. Richards, 17, and Matthew B. Brandt, 18, both of Arvada, Colo., were taken to Gove County Medical Center, Quinter, with possible injuries. Another passenger was not injured. All were wearing seat belts, according to the report.
