Ben Carson for president

Ben Carson for president

It is not too early to be thinking of who might be able to provide the leadership needed by this great nation. The 2016 election is just around the corner.

The Republican establishment is backing Chris Christie and Jeb Bush as favorite sons. What haven't they learned in nominating Bush, McCain and Romney? Wealthy, old white establishment Republican men have little chance of succeeding. Yet they continue to select the Republican candidate by backing them with huge sums of money and attacking their primary opponents.

It is time for grassroots Americans to have a say in selecting our political parties candidates. I am backing Ben Carson for president. Yes, he hasn't agreed to run, yet, but neither did George Washington wish to take on the monumental task of the presidency until urged by the citizens.

Carson is a remarkable man. You can learn more about him and his thoughts on God, self-reliance, education and health care by logging onto www.runbenrun.org and clicking on Carson's famous speech at the National Prayer Breakfast.

Our nation is in need of healing. While we have had promises during the past five years of bringing this nation together, it hasn't happened. I believe Carson has the ability to bring this nation together. The first step mentioned on this website is "prayer" -- the ointment needed for healing.

Our political leaders will not be successful in returning our nation to the leadership of the free world without acknowledging our utter dependence on God. Truth matters. The pilgrims established this nation "under God." John Adams famously stated, "Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."

Yes, I believe Carson has the needed character and is the right prescription for America. I urge you to learn more about this great American and urge you to give him your support.
