Lenora Jubilee will feature 'RibFest'

LENORA -- The Lenora Jubilee will feature a new event this year before the Riverbilly and Chris Young concerts June 18. From 5 to 7 p.m., there will be a RibFest, sponsored by Crawford Supply Traeger Grills and A&A Coors. CCRG Barbeque in Norton will be administering the event for the Lenora Jubilee Association.

"CCRG has the experience that we'll need for organizing the barbecue contest," said Donna Nelson, Lenora Jubilee Committee member. "I'm confident that with their help, we'll have the most pleasant and tasty experience imaginable for everyone involved."

Backyard gourmets are invited to enter into the rib cooking contest, and everyone else can buy a RibFest ticket to eat and enjoy. All rib entries will be judged by radio celebrities. The contestant with the best ribs will win a Little Tex Traeger Grill from Crawford Supply. Second place wins a cold beverage vending machine from A & A Coors, and third place gets a $200 supply of wood pellets from Crawford Supply.

"We're very excited about the RibFest," said Scott Sproul, Lenora Jubilee Association president. "The whole park will smell amazing. This new partnership with CCRG, Crawford Supply, and A&A Coors demonstrates a new commitment to working together to bring quality activities to one of the fastest growing music festivals in Kansas."

Entry forms for the RibFest will be available at www.lenorajubilee.com starting May 1 and will be due June 1. Be sure to visit the Web site often to get the latest news on the Lenora Jubilee Association, or become a fan on Facebook and join in the conversation.
