Monarch soccer falls to 0-10

By The Hays Daily News

The Thomas More Prep-Marian girls' soccer team lost 5-1 Monday to Great Bend at TMP Field.

It was TMP's final home game of the season.

TMP (0-10) fell behind early, as Great Bend scored two goals in the first half.

Thomas More Prep-Marian freshman Alyssa Keil notched her first goal of the season and her team's fifth goal of year in the 59th minute.

Keil was on the receiving end of a corner kick and brought it back inside from the far side of the box and kicked it to the top corner of the goal over the goalkeeper.

However, that was it for the Monarchs, as Great Bend's three second-half goals were too much to overcome.

Juniors Andie Marsell and Alivia Inlow traded turns as goalkeeper, as Marsell finished with 15 saves and Inlow had 10.

As a team, the Monarchs had eight shots on goal.
