Elbert Gregory 'Greg' Robinson
Elbert Gregory "Greg" Robinson, 64, Green Bay, Wis., died Monday, June 18, 2012, from a stroke after a battle with colon cancer.
He was born March 25, 1948, in Philadelphia to Elbert and Viola (Waters) Robinson. He was a graduate of Lincoln University.
He married Barbara Jean Reichert on Nov. 10, 1990, in Madison, Wis. He had a long career in television and worked for many years in production development at the Wisconsin Educational Communications Board. In 1999, they were owners of the Astor House Bed & Breakfast in downtown Green Bay, which they have operated continuously to the present day. He was a U.S. Navy Reserve veteran.
He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Parish, Green Bay.
Survivors include his wife; a stepson, Bradley Reichert and special friend, Sherri O'Donnell, Madison, Wis.; a granddaughter, Madison Reichert, Byron Minn.; his aunt, Betty Waters; three cousins, Ronald Waters, Larry Robinson and Lorraine Robinson, Philadelphia; and many loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 413 St. John St. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m.; burial will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Our Lady Help of Christians Cemetery, Antonino, with military honors by Hays Veterans of Foreign Wars Honor Guard.
Ryan Funeral Home of De Pere is assisting the family. Brocks North Hill Chapel, 2509 Vine, Hays, KS 67601, is in charge of local arrangements.
The family has asked that no flowers be sent. Memorials are suggested to Freedom House in Green Bay in support of homeless families, or Gilda's Club of Madison helping people affected by cancer.
