Florence Wilhelm Veach

Florence Wilhelm Veach, 96, Ellinwood, formerly of Galatia, died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Lincoln, Neb.

She was born Jan. 23, 1916, in Galatia to Benjamin and Magdelena (Dietz) Karst.

She married August Wilhelm on Jan. 9, 1938, in Galatia. He preceded her in death May 18, 1976. She later married George Veach on Aug. 30, 1981, in Ellinwood. He preceded her in death. She was a secretary for Bosse Elevators, Ellinwood.

Survivors include a son, Lester Wilhelm, San Diego; a stepson, Robert Veach, Bella Vista, Ark.; a daughter, Nancy Mitchell, Nevada, Mo.; two brothers, Arthur Karst, Great Bend, and Leon Karst, Rush Center; a sister, Viola Dumler, Russell; and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John Lutheran Church, Ellinwood; burial will be at 2 p.m. in Fairview Township Cemetery, Galatia.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday at Kimple Funeral Home, Ellinwood.

Memorials are suggested to St. John Lutheran Church or Blue Valley Lutheran Foundation in care of the funeral home.
