Thomas J. Hrabe, 94, died Friday, Nov. 13, 2009, at Hays Medical Center.

He was born Jan. 14, 1915, near Plainville to Joseph and Agnes (Harmacek) Hrabe.

He was a retired farmer.

Survivors include two daughters, Vesta Russell, Natoma, and Venita Cole, Stockton; three step-sons, Robert Brooks, Commerce City, Colo., James Brooks, Belleview, Neb., and Michael Brooks, Arlington, Va.; a sister, Irene Russ, Natoma; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and 20 step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wives, Esther Russ in 1967 and Geraldine Metz Brooks in 1996; a son, Verlan Jo; a grandson; and a great-grandson.

Services were today at United Methodist Church, Plainville.
