The biggest open wheel show at the Great American Dirt Track will take place over Memorial Day Weekend.
Saturday May 26th and Sunday May 27th will find the running of the 4th Annual Steve King Memorial. Jack Dover scored the opening round win last year, with Brady Bacon winning the finale.
This year the race will be sanctioned by the Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Car Dirt Series Presented by Mav TV.
The events surrounding the race have really made this a stellar weekend. The city of Jetmore will once again be going all out with two days worth of events. There will be cars on display, an autograph session, museum tours, a barbecue lunch, movies and a golf tournament. Action on the race track will get underway at 7 PM each evening. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Steve King Foundation which assists injured racers. The Steve King Memorial, with the community's involvement, has become much more than a race.
With five ASCS National Tour wins already under his belt this season, Wayne Johnson leads the Lucas Oil ASCS competitors into action. Johnson currently has a 30 point lead over two time series champion Jason Johnson. Brady Bacon, Johnny Herrera and Gary Wright, round out the top five in points. For more
