A pedestrian suffered minor injuries after being struck by a car Monday morning in Hays.

Brian Dawson, assistant chief of the Hays Police Department, said the pedestrian was walking across the drive of Bank of Hays near 27th and Hall shortly before 8 a.m. when a car leaving the drive knocked the pedestrian over. The driver was unable to see the pedestrian due to sun glare, Dawson said.

The pedestrian was transported to Hays Medical Center, but only minor injuries and bruising were reported, Dawson said.
