The Natoma community digital sign project initiated by the PRIDE community organization is a success in funding. A sub-committee of three, with Terry Tucker, Dawn Phlieger and Pastor Michael Schmidt, promoted and raised the total amount needed in purchasing a full color digital sign. Work began this week on the lawn of the city library. PRIDE community volunteers are moving forward with a volleyball tournament and new attractions for the annual Natoma Labor Day Celebration, Sept. 4. Projects continue to be added and realized with billboards to the east and west of Natoma, located along Kansas Highway 18. Natoma PRIDE will host a 6-on-6 Co-Ed Volleyball Tournament, Aug. 26 at the Natoma gymnasium. There is a $75 entry fee; 8 teams/double elimination. A concession stand will be available. Contact Dayna Kocinski for information. PRIDE will sponsor Knockerball for Labor Day, following the parade.
