PHILLIPSBURG (GH) — The Phillips County Sheriff’s Office will be getting new panoramic view body cameras.
Sheriff Charlie Radabaugh said $40,000 of the $60,000 expense of the new system is coming from the Darwin and Lorene Cole Foundation and the Albert Morgan and Leona Morgan Charitable Foundation. The sheriff’s office equipment fund is paying for the rest.
“As law enforcement officers, we’re very aware of accountability issues, especially those that have surfaced in other departments throughout the nation in the recent past,” Radabaugh said in a news release. “Camera systems aren’t just necessary for officer safety, but for the public’s safety as well.”
