A Hays business is organizing a food and supply drive to benefit flooding victims of Hurricane Harvey in southeast Texas.

Goods can be dropped off at Golden Plains Trucking, 375 E. 41st, in Hays from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, and from 8 a.m. until the trailer is full Friday.

Donations of non-perishable foods, bottled water, cleaning supplies, personal hygiene items, pet food, flashlights, batteries and infant care items such as diapers, wipes and formula are encouraged. All items must be new and unopened.

Organizers directly have contacted the San Antonio Food Bank for a list of needed items, and will be driving a trailer loaded with goods to the organization Saturday.

Clothing and bedding items also are welcome, but must be new with tags.

The supply drive is organized by Dalton Fischer, Golden Plains Trucking and Gemini Concrete Pumping.
