The Ellis County Commission will meet in regular session at 5 p.m. Monday at the county's administrative center, 718 Main.
Agenda items include selecting an employee health insurance provider for next year. County officials have expressed concern at increasing costs, which are estimated at more than $2.5 million in 2018.
The county hired a consulting firm in efforts to identify policies with lower costs, but officials are recommending to continue coverage with its current provider, the State Employee Health Plan.
Other agenda items include:
• Updates to the county fire department's mutual aid agreement.
• Introduction of the county's new landfill foreman.
• Request to repair a grader for the public works department.
• A demonstration of the county's redesigned website, ellisco.net.
