The United Way of Ellis County Board of Directors decided, at its last board meeting, to open the application process for United Way funding. That means any 501(c)(3) in Ellis County that wants to apply for United Way funding through any of the three criteria of education, health and financial stability can do so.

There will be an open community meeting for those interested in applying for funding from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Sept. 20 in the first floor conference room at the Hadley Center to learn about the online application process. The CARE Council still will process applications as it has in the past.
