Christmas Celebration is Nov. 29. Wreaths are being accepted to hand on poles down Maple St. If your business would like to do a wreath, leave it a the Chamber office by Monday morning, Nov. 27. The committee will add a tag with your name on the wreath and will return to you when decorations are taken down. The wreath needs to be at least 18 to 24 inches to be seen from the street. Thanks to Maple UnCommon Guest House, Cherokee County News Advocate, Parcom Verzion and Optic Communications for their providing a wreath.
If you would like to have the art class paint your windows for the holidays, you must advise Mr. Carriger by Friday of this week. The students will be out this week starting on some of the windows.
If you like baking gingerbread creations, remember we are doing a contest and 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be given. Bring your creation to 101 S. Penn between 4:14 and 5:15 p.m. on Nov. 29, and they will be placed in the window of the building. Judging will take place during the evening. You can either leave then in the building for a couple of weeks or they can be picked up following the parade.
Just a reminder about the Christmas parade, only one Santa and that will be Santa riding on the Lions Club firetruck. So plan your floats accordingly. Theme for this year is "A Sense of Christmas".
Committees are being put together for the 2018 year. If you would like to work on a specific committee, let the office know. All activities that the Chamber provide to the community is done by a committee of volunteers. It takes all of us working together to keep our Chamber and our community going.
