A Hill City man pleaded guilty Tuesday to charges of aggravated criminal sodomy involving two 9-year-olds. Kevin Michael Cross soon will face sentencing in both Graham and Ellis counties for the crimes.

Cross pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated criminal sodomy in each county.

The charges are a severity level 1 person felony. Sentencing in Ellis County is set for 9:30 a.m. March 1, with Graham County sentencing at 3 p.m. Feb. 27.

The plea carries an expected sentencing of 253 months, or 21 years, in prison, Ellis County Attorney Tom Drees said.

The victims both were related to Cross, according to an affidavit released following the plea.

The cases were investigated by the Hill City Police Department and Ellis County Sheriff’s Office.

Drees is prosecuting the Ellis County case, with Assistant Attorney General Lyndzie Carter prosecuting in Graham County.
