TOPEKA — A Bogue man was taken to the hospital after being in a crash Monday afternoon in Topeka.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported Sylvester G. Carter, 55, Bogue, was taken to the University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus with possible injuries after the crash at about 3:50 p.m. Monday.
Carter was a passenger in a 2014 Nissan Sentra driven by Bondetta Vaughn, 61, Wichita.
According to the KHP report, Vaughn was at Gage Boulevard and Interstate 70 waiting to make a left-hand turn when the Sentra was rear-ended by a 2005 Toyota Camry driven by Terry L. Blankenship, 56, Topeka.
Neither of the drivers nor another passenger in the Sentra, Loretta L. Alexander, 51, Salina, were injured. All involved were wearing safety restraints, according to the KHP.
