Tate Busse will soon be a Shocker.

The St. Francis star guard announced Wednesday on Twitter he will play for Gregg Marshall and Wichita State University. Busse is expected to be a preferred walk-on for the Shockers.

"I am so excited and thankful to announce that I am now a Wichita State Shocker," Busse tweeted. "Thank you to Coach Marshall and Coach (Kyle) Lindsted for the opportunity. Also thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout the years."

Busse, The Hays Daily News area player of the year, averaged 28 points per game for St. Francis in his senior season. He finished his career with more than 1,700 points, becoming the school’s all-time leading scorer.
