MAIZE — The Hays High softball team took a pair of lopsided losses in the Maize Triangular on Thursday. The Indians fell 13-3 to Maize and 11-0 to Goddard.
Hays (3-3) gave up seven runs in the first inning to Maize and surrendered more in the third. The Indians managed nine hits but committed four errors.
Kaitlyn Brown led Hays with three hits in the first game.
The Indians got off to another rocky start against Goddard, allowing six runs in the first. Goddard opened up a 9-0 lead in the third inning.
Hays was held hitless against Goddard in a five-inning game.
The Indians will look to regroup on Thursday at Dodge City.
