DODGE CITY — The Hays High softball team was swept at Dodge City on Thursday, falling 12-4 and 6-5. 

In the first game, the score was tied at four before Dodge put up five runs in the bottom of the fifth and added three more in the sixth. Hays was hurt by four errors in the game. 

Kaitlin Brown had two hits for the Indians in the first game. She took the loss, allowing nine runs (seven earned) in 4 2/3 innings. 

Hays (3-5) took a 5-3 lead into the seventh inning of the second game, but Dodge City scored three runs and won in walkoff fashion. 

Jaysa Wichers took the loss, allowing six runs and six hits. Wichers had three hits while Madelyn Waddell and Brown each had two. 

HAYS HIGH SOCCER DRAWS AT LIBERAL  — The Hays High soccer team played to a scoreless draw at Liberal on Thursday. The Indians sit 3-2-1 on the season.
