DODGE CITY — The Thomas More Prep-Marian girls soccer team picked up its third straight win to open the season, earning a 2-1 victory at Dodge City on Thursday.
Kayla Vitztum scored TMP's first goal on a breakaway in the seventh minute before Alicia Solis answered with a goal for Dodge City.
Vitzum scored the game-winner on a penalty kick in the second half.
Gracie Schmidt played the entire game in goal for the Monarchs, who will play at Wichita Independent on Saturday.
Track and field competes at Russell — The TMP girls track and field team took second place on Thursday in the Russell Invitational while the boys team placed fifth.
