(TNS) — A vehicle carrying 350 pounds of marijuana and heading to Michigan was stopped in Kansas, according to the Sterling Heights Police Department.

The traffic stop happened on April 5 in Geary County near Junction City, but information about what deputies found wasn’t released until Friday. The police department didn’t release why the vehicle was stopped.

Police also seized $326,000 in cash.

The department said the marijuana was going to be sold illegally, not in a dispensary. Medical marijuana is legal in Michigan.

“Michigan Medical Marijuana laws and guide lines are very specific, but in this incident the laws were clearly violated,” the department said.

Two people were arrested in Kansas and a third person was arrested the next day in Sterling Heights.
