The Thomas More Prep-Marian girls soccer team beat Wichita Trinity for the first time in program history on Monday, earning a 5-0 win at Bickle-Schmidt Sports Complex.
TMP, led by two goals each from Kayla Vitztum and Ashley Ostrander, improved to 7-2-0 on the season.
Vitztum got the Monarchs started with a goal in the fourth minute. Ostrander scored back-to-back goals in the 43rd and 54th minutes off assists from Aubrey Koenigsman and Vitztum.
Koenigsman converted a penalty kick in the 60th minute and assisted on the last goal from Vitztum in the 73rd minute.
Julia Cox made nine saves and recorded the shutout in goal for TMP, which will play at Hays High at 4 p.m. on Thursday.
