VICTORIA -- A former U.S. Postal Service employee in Victoria has been charged in federal court with stealing money orders while she was employed.

Stormy Laflin, 48, Victoria, faces up to five years in federal prison and a fine up to $250,000 if convicted.

The crime is alleged to have occurred Aug. 10, 2017, in Ellis County.

The U.S. Postal Service – Office of Inspector General investigated the incident. Assistant U.S. Attorney Alan Metzger is prosecuting.
