GARDEN CITY — The Hays High boys tennis team placed fourth in the Garden City Invitational on Thursday. 

Logan Clark and Zac Wyse placed second for the Indians in No. 1 doubles, going 4-1 in the round-robin format. Their only loss was an 8-7 setback to Garden City's Brian Carrera and Daniel Chacon, with Clark and Wyse dropping the tiebreaker, 7-3.

Carerra and Chacon went on to win No. 1 doubles. 

Hays' No 2. doubles team of Seth Shorb and Brandon Kennemer placed fourth, going 2-3. 

In singles, No. 1 player Drew Morley went 1-4 for the Indians while Eli Booth went 2-3 at No. 3 singles. 

Hays and Great Bend both finished with 19 points in the team standings but the Panthers had the tiebreaker with a better winning percentage in head-to-head matchups.
