RUSSELL — The Thomas More Prep-Marian baseball team moved to 11-1 Thursday with a doubleheader sweep of Russell/Victoria, winning 12-4 and 10-1.

Chase Werth and Gavin Schumacher combined for seven RBIs in the first game as TMP plated four runs in each of the fourth and sixth innings.

Cole Zimmerman grabbed the win in four innings pitched.

In the nightcap, Trenton Mayo drove in three runs, while the Monarchs walked 17 times, scoring four runs in the first inning to blow the game open.

TMP’s next action is Tuesday in a 4:30 p.m. doubleheader at Salina-Sacred Heart.
