The Hays High softball team split a doubleheader with Andover Central to wrap up the regular season, falling 13-4 in the first game before bouncing back to take 12-9 win on Thursday at Dusty Glassman Ball Park. 

The Indians (10-10) were led by Kaitlin Brown in Game 2. Brown was 4 of 5 at the plate with two runs driven in and three runs scored. Macee Altman, Brooke Denning and Jaysa Wichers each added two hits. 

Jaysa Wichers went the distance in the circle to earn the win. 

Hays did all its damage in the first four innings, scoring two in the first, five in the second, two in the third and three in the fourth. 

In the first game, Hays fell behind 9-0 by the fourth inning. Brown had two hits in the loss. 

Hays High's regional assignment will be hosted by Buhler on Tuesday.
