Enola Mae Kirby, 86, La Crosse, died Friday, May 11, 2018, at Rush County Memorial Hospital, La Crosse.

She was born Dec. 31, 1931, in La Crosse to Roy J. and Lenore C. (Jefferis) Baker. She was a 1949 graduate of La Crosse High School.

She married Donald Ralph Kirby on Sept. 15, 1949, at First Christian Church, La Crosse. He preceded her in death Dec. 24, 1991. She was the owner/operator of the Patchwork Parlor in La Crosse for 37 years.

She was a member of First Christian Church, La Crosse, and served her church faithfully. She was also active as a 4-H sewing leader.

Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Kirby, Oklahoma City, and Cheryl (Kirby) Schlegel, and husband, Gene Schlegel, Alexander; two grandchildren, Derrick Schlegel, and his two sons, Robert and Dylan, and Amanda (Schlegel) Schmidtberger, her husband, Clay Schmidtberger, and their children, Wyatt, Morgan and Josephine.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a half-brother, Leo Baker; a half-sister, Lois Claybaugh; and a son, Doyle Kirby, who is survived by his daughter, Paula (Kirby) Mackey, her children, Christopher Marks, Tiffany Rangel, Jenna Marks, Richard Marks, Amanda Mackey, and Melissa Mackey; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Janousek Funeral Home, La Crosse, with Pastor Mark Sizemore officiating. Burial will be in the La Crosse City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 7 p.m.
