LAKIN — The Thomas More Prep-Marian baseball team's dominant season continued in Wednesday's Class 3A regional, with the Monarchs outscoring their opponents 21-0 en route to earning a state berth. 

The Monarchs (21-1) rolled past Scott Community 15-0 in the regional semifinal and then beat Colby 6-0 in the final to advance to the 3A tournament May 24-25 at Tointon Family Stadium in Manhattan. 

Chase Werth tossed six scoreless innings for TMP in the regional final, striking out 10 while allowing just four hits.

Werth also had two hits, including an RBI double to put TMP on the board in the first inning. The Monarchs then took control with three runs in the second, getting RBI singles from Werth and Gavin Schumacher.

The Monarchs run-ruled Scott in the regional semifinal in four innings. Brady Kreuzter had three hits with two doubles and drove in five runs. 

Cole Zimmerman gave up just one hit in four innings on the mound, striking out five.
