Thomas More-Prep Marian's Cole Zimmerman was named first-team All-3A as a pitcher on the Kansas Association of Baseball Coaches All-State team released Tuesday.
Zimmerman was also selected to play in the KABC Senior All-Star game at 1 p.m. June 6 at Hoglund Park on the University of Kansas campus in Lawrence.
Zimmerman helped lead the Monarchs to a 24-2 season and a state runner-up finish. He went 8-1 on the mound with a 1.46 ERA in 48 innings.
Ellis designated hitter Junior Hernandez was also picked to play in the All-Star game.
TMP's Chase Werth and Tate Garcia were second-team All-3A KABC picks. Werth selected as a pitcher going, 6-0 with an 0.83 ERA in 42 innings, while Garcia earned the honor at second base, hitting .311.
For Hays High, outfielder Trey Riggs and third baseman Palmer Hutchison were honorable mention picks in Class 4A Division I. Riggs hit .393 on the season while Hutchison had a .375 batting average.
