ELLSWORTH (GH) — A Great Bend woman was killed and six others injured in a two-vehicle crash Saturday about a mile north of Ellsworth.

According to a Kansas Highway Patrol report, a semi truck driven by Mariano Ramirez, 26, of Beaver, Okla., was westbound on Kansas Highway 156 about 3:15 p.m. Saturday, when Ramirez braked the truck to avoid striking a farm implement stopped to make a left turn. Sanchez died as a result of the crash, the report said, and four occupants of her vehicle were injured: Alyse Sanchez, 14, Christian Villalovos, 16, Matthew Allison, 16, and Ethan Sanchez, 3, all of Great Bend. Alyse Sanchez and Matthew Allison were taken to Ellsworth County Medical Center, and Christian Villalovos and Ethan Sanchez were transported to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. No information was available on their conditions Sunday.
