The Hays Monarchs legion baseball team rolled to 14-6 and 12-0 wins over Russell on Tuesday at TMP Field. 

The Monarchs trailed 5-4 heading to the bottom of the fourth of the first game before taking control with four runs in the frame. They forced the run rule with six runs in the sixth. 

Adam Gottschalk and Gavin Schumacher each had two hits and Chase Werth earned the win on the mound, allowing one run on three hits with nine strikeouts in 3.1 innings. 

The Monarchs (4-0) dominated Game 2 with 11 runs in the second inning. Russell surrendered 13 walks for the game. 

Tate Garcia earned the win, giving up just one hit with three walks in four shutout innings.
