NORTON — The Hays Eagles Sr. American Legion baseball team cruised to a doubleheader sweep at Norton with 11-1 and 20-1 wins on Wednesday.
The Eagles moved to 20-3-1 on the season.
Hays put up four runs in the top of the second and pushed the lead to 6-0 on a two-run home run from Braiden Stauth. The Eagles forced the run rule after tacking on four runs in the top of the sixth.
Brady Kreutzer drew the start on the mound, allowing no runs and one hit in 3.2 innings of work. Kreutzer and Cody Petersen each had two hits.
In the nightcap, the Eagles put up three in the first, three in the second, two in the fourth and then exploded for 12 runs in the fifth for another run rule.
Dominic Bainter drove in four runs and Brock Lummus doubled twice.
Willie Sennett started on the mound and threw two scoreless innings.
