DODGE CITY — The Hays Larks pulled out a wild 4-hour slugfest over Dodge City on Wednesday, earning a 17-11 victory. 

The Larks, now 16-5 overall and 10-4 in the Jayhawk League, opened up a 10-1 lead after a top of the third inning that included a three-run home run from Ryne Randle and a solo shot from John Rensel. However, the A's reeled off nine runs in the bottom of the third to come within a run. 

Hays took a 12-11 lead into the eighth before getting runs off a Kolby Robinson sacrifice fly and an RBI double from Randle. The Larks tacked on three more insurance runs in the ninth. 

Wyatt Divis helped cool off the A's on the mound with 2.1 scoreless innings of relief. 

Hays outhit the A's 16-12 as Randle led the way with a 4-of-7 outing at the plate with four runs driven in. 

The Larks are off Thursday night and will open a set with the Haysville Aviators at 7 p.m on Friday for Military Appreciation Night at Larks Park.
